Burundi’s National Youth Conference attended by Prof. Dr. Kevin Storr

Kevin Storr, PhD, Professor of Physics, traveled to Burundi Africa this summer, 2014, with undefined expectations. He was scheduled to attend the National Youth Conference in Burundi with a delegation.

Prof. Storr shared with us the following comments. "In regard to the conference, I envisioned interacting with the participants, hearing their stories and expectations and how best my presence and presentations would serve the occasion. I listened to different speakers, observed the responses of the attendees, was engaged in the conference as the young people led the way and I found myself inspired." He went on to tell us, "I am enamored with the positivity of the young people...and I believe they will contribute to the definition and growth of their country." He said, "I realized that one has to become a two-way gate...prepared to give...prepared to take in. This all leads to becoming educated, valuable global citizens engaged in the exchange and trade of culture and ideas."

She said, "The youth in this organization are very well trained, polite and orderly. They demonstrated such excellence and team spirit in everything they handled. This summer, 2014, a delegation of interested people set off for the Republic of Burundi, Africa to attend their National Youth Conference. They were able to observe and discover first hand an amazing phenomenon. Burundi Africa is experiencing growth and change. One of the youth delegates, Marisa Dean, a student with United Graduate College and Seminar International, had this to say about her experiences. "I wanted to understand how groups of people actually create change from the lens of looking at a whole country. Understanding their needs and the correct way to supply those needs." She went on to tell us after her visit and experiencing the environment of Burundi, "In my observation, Burundi is being structurally rebuilt under new principles, under the alignment of Godly principles." GOLDEN RULE INTERNATIONAL GOODWILL PEACE AMBASSADOR FINDS BURUNDI AFRICA NATION ON THE RISE

International Goodwill Peace Ambassador Hoa Tong with Ambassador Clyde Rivers

Dr. Hoa Tong, on a visit to Burundi this summer and after being warmly greeted the people of the Republic of Burundi, said "I immediately became a student of Burundi's government, landscape, climate, markets and especially the people."

He went on to say, "I learned that the government of Burundi is progressive, with their President Pierre Nkurunziza, implementing policies that unite the people to take pride in their nation and help build it. The markets are primed and a rich incubator for exponential growth. The Burundians are gentle, kind, honest and helpful people - with resilient hopes and powerful dreams. In spite of their tragic past, they are determined not to let it hold back their bright future. They are united in this effort to change national mind sets and embrace the good things God and their own dreams would bring to pass for them."

Dr. Tong observed, "Burundians loving one another seems the only deterrent from repeating the mistakes of their fathers." He went on to say, "They are discovering love is the only force that would empower and move them to transform their beloved nation."

This is the foundation of a rising nation!

THE YOUTH OF BURUNDI AFRICA INSPIRE HOPE, FAITH, AND VALUE TO AMERICAN DELEGATION

Nick Nguyen

During the summer of 2014, Nick Nguyen, a minister and Youth Leader of Freedom Worship Center in San Jose, California, attended the National Youth Conference in the Republic of Burundi Africa. He traveled as part of a delegation to Burundi.

Nguyen had these reflections. "I prematurely thought I was going to impart what I have acquired from God and America." What he discovered was, "The people of Burundi were among the most loving, genuine, humble, intelligent and God loving people I have ever met. The average Burundian spoke three or more languages fluently. This revealed the capacity and zeal the people have toward progress."

Those visiting Burundi are being encouraged to be aware of the self-motivation of the Burundians under the supportive leadership of President Pierre Nkurunziza, President of Republic of Burundi. Burundi Africa is finding solutions for their countries' challenges and working to build a stronger Burundi.
